Cultural Pass Summer 2026!
Cool Mountain Theatre is proud to partner with the Fund for the Arts Summer 2026 Cultural Pass — a program dedicated to keeping kids learning all summer long and building lasting connections between Louisville Metro’s young people and the arts.
This summer Come see what world-class puppetry or Hawaiian ʻukulele look and sound like up close from experts in their disciplines.
Passholders may attend one of the following Cool Mountain Cultural Events with their cultural Pass App:
Meet the Puppets: Puppetry Demo
When: June 16 or 18th 12:00pm-12:45PM
Where: NoCo Arts Center Jeffersonville, IN
WHAT: A live puppetry demonstration of different styles with Puppet Master Nicole LaPointe McKay. Discover the art and craft of puppet performance in an intimate, interactive setting. All ages welcome.
Hawaiian ‘Ukulele Demonstration
When: June 23 12:00pm-12:45pm
Where: NoCo Arts Center Jeffersonville, IN
What: Learn about the Hawaiian origins of the ‘ukulele and Experience world-class music by Herb Ohta Jr. and Bryan Tolentino — Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning artists visiting Southern Indiana from Hawai’i. From Bryan “Weʻre coming to share our culture, and the uniqueness of learning, teaching, playing ʻukulele in Hawaiʻi. Weʻll be sharing language, hula, and mele and how it is all connected through ʻike kupuna, knowledge that has been passed on to us. We are bringing Hawaiʻi to you!” All ages welcome.
Hula: the Heartbeat of the Hawaiian People

Where: NoCo Arts Center Jeffersonville, IN
What: Kama Hopkins brings an exceptional breadth of knowledge that extends beyond the ʻukulele into hula and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi — the Hawaiian language — weaving the full cultural context of the music into everything he teaches. His infectious energy and genuine love of sharing Hawaiian culture make him as compelling in the classroom as he is on stage. All ages welcome.
