Aloha kākou!

‘Ukulele Masters Bryan Tolentino and Herb Ohta Jr. will be coming to the NoCo Arts Center in Jeffersonville for workshops and a special ‘Ukulele Pā‘ina as part of their U.S. tour this Summer.

Bryan and Herb have two award-winning recordings as a duo and also have instructed at music camps and workshops throughout the years. In partnering for more recent online workshops, they developed a complementary teaching style that captures their expertise in both the chord melody style (Herbʻs signature) and harmonic embellishments aka. “Fairy Dust”, as Bryan calls it.

Do you play the ʻukulele? The workshops are an excellent opportunity to learn techniques beyond the traditional first position strum along.

Do you like Hawaiian music? This is a great opportunity to hear and learn Hawaiian mele from expert practitioners.

Would you like to know more about the ʻukulele? Come to the pre-Pā‘ina ʻUkulele 101 talk.Do you enjoy seeing outstanding musicians doing their thing? Come to the Pā‘ina to hear the virtuosic and uniquely elegant stylings of Bryan and Herb. Itʻs sure to be a little talk story and a whole lotta ‘ukulele!
